About this book
This volume provides comprehensive and authoritative coverage of all the main areas linked to geomagnetic field observation, from instrumentation to methodology, on ground or near-Earth. Efforts are also focused on a 21st century e-Science approach to open access to all geomagnetic data, but also to the data preservation, data discovery, data rescue, and capacity building. Finally, modeling magnetic fields with different internal origins, with their variation in space and time, is an attempt to draw together into one place the traditional work in producing models as IGRF or describing the magnetic anomalies.

    Excellent value for the money!

Still haven't taken this in deep water yet, but I want to clear up a few details for folks who are considering purchasing this case:1) It's a bargain. it's $1000 cheaper than the next closest thing your going to get.2) ALL functions are NOT available with this case. There is no way to use the front roller button to change settings that require that (which is anything manual, or any changes in Av or Tv mode). The instructions make it clear, you are to preset your settings before inserting the camera in the case.3) flash works very well. those 2 ports on the front focus the flash nicely. there is a button on the left side of the case that pops the built in flash. They look like they are really designed to support an off camera flash via an optical cable.4) there is a cold shoe mount, designed to provide a mount point for an external flash. finding a 'cheap' underwater flash with an optical slave would be nice.5) there are holes on the bottom to mount... 4/5 Paul A Flores - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Polaroid SLR Dive Rated Waterproof Underwater Housing Case For The Canon T2I with a 18-55mm Lens (Electronics) Haven't taken it into the water yet but am thus far very impressed with the ease with which the camera mounts within the housing and the availability of sit of the function buttons. Not certain the flash will work all that well as it isn't able to fully pop up. Some pics out of the water didn't produce great results with the flash but for now I don't expect to need the flash anyhow. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? , May 8, 2014

0 5/5 upthink - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Polaroid SLR Dive Rated Waterproof Underwater Housing Case For The Canon T3I with a 18-55mm Lens (Electronics) Impressive build quality for the price. All of the external buttons contact the camera body and function with ease. There is only one issue with camera control. The front scroll wheel does not have external control to allow manual configuration. However, it's an easy problem to solve if you're not shooting auto. Pair this housing with your 600D running Magic Lantern and you gain full control over manual exposures via the rear buttons. Dual 1/4 20 threads work well with a long (100mm plus) arca swiss style QR plate for tripod support. Includes strap, extra gasket and grease. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? , November 10, 2014

This review is from: Watershot Underwater Housing for iPhone 5/5S, Black (Camera) I purchased this for one of my trips to Kauai and wanted underwater pictures from snorkeling and diving trips. There was not one of these for an IPhone 5 on the Island. It came overnight and I have captured some awesome shots of sea turtles, tropical fish and coral. It has worked as well as expected and people can't believe that my photos were taken with an I Phone. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? , December 19, 2013

    Great product, highly recommended

I bought this from Sport Chalet along with the red filter for a trip to Maui and was very satisfied. The options I had for underwater photography were: underwater camera: digital or disposable, underwater housing for regular camera, or housing for your smartphone. I went with a phone housing because of the convenience. Underwater cameras seem to be very blurry and disposable cameras sometimes don't develop at all. I have a digital camera but did not want to risk damaging it and it would be inconvenient to swim with. Although the go pro takes great photos, I like to be able to view my photos directly and see that my images are coming out. After searching and reading about other underwater housings for iPhone I decided to go with the Watershot. I tested it 3 times by placing tissue paper inside the case and placing it in my bathtub for about an hour each time. (I also placed something heavy on top so that the camera is submerged at the bottom) I had no leaks and no issues... 5/5 ch - See all my reviews This review is from: Watershot Underwater Housing for iPhone 5/5S (Sports) I bought this from Sport Chalet along with the red filter for a trip to Maui and was very satisfied. Unbelievable! I, me, worst photographer on the planet, took GREAT underwater pics

I bought my Watershot housing on the Big Island at Oshima's Dive Shop in Kailua-Kona about three weeks ago. I met a professional photographer on a beach there at a picnic table where he was removing his iPhone from the housing. I was fascinated by it immediately as it looked incredibly beefy- which would be the #1 requirement for anything taking my iPhone on a little submarine ride. He, the photographer who was all of maybe 27 years old, gave it a ringing endorsement. He also said that it was $100, which was doable. I had to have one! But I have the iPhone 5, so it cost me the $110 you're seeing here. I only went in twice more and took pics but even that meager usage justified the cost. One thing I will caution you about is the overheating issue that there's very little you can do about it in a watertight case. I just personally felt more comfortable removing it from the housing when I wasn't using it underwater. Probably just being paranoid but that phone got HOT. So purchase this... 5/5 Asradel "Az" (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Watershot Underwater Housing for iPhone 5/5S, Black (Camera) I bought my Watershot housing on the Big Island at Oshima's Dive Shop in Kailua-Kona about three weeks ago. Needs modifications, but worth the price

Housing appears well-made and controls work smoothly and reliably. Back control-ring not operable when using housing, though I knew that before I bought it. Though more tedious I can access same functionality via menus, and rather do that than pay $1100 (cost of the only housing that does provide access to back ring).I needed to make a number of modifications to the housing in order for it to work with my existing external strobe and tray:1. Thread on bottom of housing for attaching tray is not deep enough for normal length screw to tighten completely, leaving tray loose. I added a 1/16" plastic washer to fix the problem. Could also file down the screw, but I wanted to leave it full-length in case I get a different camera.2. Built-in ports did not fit my Sea & Sea fiber-optic strobe cable. I had to (very carefully!) drill out an additional 1/64-1/32" in order to have it fit.3. Flash diffuser could not be used with strobe cable, in which case you... 4/5 Jay M Dbl-U - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) What a bargain!

0 5/5 Scott - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Waterproof Underwater Housing Case for Camera Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 LF208 (Camera) Just got back from my first trip with this and it worked great. Had it down to 115ft with no problems. Only function it does not operate is the control wheel but that doesn't impact functionality for me. The only slightly complicated operation while diving was setting the white balance but with a little practice it's not a problem. Great affordable housing and I feel totally comfortable putting my RX-100 in this housing in the future. Be sure to clean and lightly grease the o-ring often. RTFM and follow directions. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? , January 27, 2014

    Worked flawlessly

I cannot speak to the ability of this case to withstand anything below about 15 feet - as that's the deepest I went with it (snorkeling). Having said that - not a single drop of water got inside. The case itself didn't seem to noticeably affect the quality of the photos from the RX100. Underwater photography without a multi-thousand dollar rig is, in my opinion, a numbers game. Take boatloads because a large percentage will come out blurry - that's just the nature of a "point and shoot" underwater. The case performed perfectly both with and without flash use; was easy to manipulate the buttons; and with the supplied tether was never in danger of being anywhere other than on the end of my arm. This is a great case for the money. Two tips: keep the rubber seal well lubricated and clean (with the supplied silicone, and put a small desiccant pack inside with the camera (i put it in the gap at the top of the camera, between two ribs right of the flash (as you look at the... 5/5 Chad P. - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
