    Great little camera!

On a recent trip to Tahiti I believe I have tried about every kind of one-time use underwater camera on the market (i.e., Kodak Max Sport; Kodak Max Wet, and Konica Waterproof Camera and the Fuji). All of the cameras worked fine snorkeling, although I found the Konica and the Kodak Max Wet to be more difficult to use. [The Konica was a little difficult to see through the view finder with a mask on, and the Kodak Max Wet, most annoyingly had the strap and the photo button on opposite sides of the camera! A real disadvantage to a right handed person. As a result you essentially had to use two hands to take a photo, one to hold the camera and the other to depress the button. Any of these cameras will work fine for snorkeling, however the best were the Fuji and Kodak Sport. Keep in mind that all underwater photos will look a bit blue, however, snorkeling in the lagoon in Tahiti the blue was not really noticeable. Here's the part I really like, now I admit, contrary to manufacturer... 5/5 Zannie "zannieh" (San Jose, CA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Fujifilm 7025227 Quick Snap Waterproof 35mm Single Use Camera (Blue/Green/White) (Camera) On a recent trip to Tahiti I believe I have tried about every kind of one-time use underwater camera on the market (i.e., Kodak Max Sport; Kodak Max Wet, and Konica Waterproof Camera and the Fuji). great pictures both in and out of the water

This is a great little camera for taking pictures both in and out of the water. Not surprisingly, it delivers best underwater on a sunny day, but even on overcast days, it produces crisp pictures with great detail. On land, it is much less particular about lighting, and produces pictures with beautiful colour in light or shadow, or both.Since it takes such nice pictures out of the water, a first time user might want to practice with it on land. The lever action feels a lot different from the push-button action of regular throw-away cameras, and since you don't hear the click of the shutter underwater, you might be uncertain whether anything happened. A couple of test shots (without the urgency of a sea turtle swimming by or a beautiful school of fish) should increase the photographer's confidence in the camera when underwater. The big wheel that advances the film works very well; it's easy to find by touch, so getting another snap of something before it swims away... 5/5 Susannah (LOS ANGELES, US, Canada) - See all my reviews This review is from: Fujifilm 7025227 Quick Snap Waterproof 35mm Single Use Camera (Blue/Green/White) (Camera) This is a great little camera for taking pictures both in and out of the water. Chums took the Silver medal

I purchased 3 floating camera straps - the Vivatar, the Olympus and the Chums -since they were all pretty inexpensive and they all seemed to have good reviews and bad reviews. After trying out all 3 I decided the Olympus will go with me on my next snorkeling adventure with my new Nikon Coolpix AW100 (which I absolutely love but that's for another review). Here are my observations on all three straps. I ordered all 3 in yellow - the Vivatar was a kind of dingy orangish yellow while the other two were a bright yellow which I felt would be easier to spot so score 1 for Olympus and Chums. The Vivatar and Olympus both were easy to dry off while the Chums is made of a kind of spongy material which doesn't dry off right away so score one for Vivatar and Olympus. The Olympus and Chums fit my wrist very nicely whereas I wasn't quite sure how to attach the Vivatar to my person. I thought the Olympus when it was cinched up fit my wrist especially well so score two for Olympus and one for... 3/5 C. Welsh - See all my reviews, June 12, 2012

This review is from: Chums Waterproof Camera Float (Camera) I bought this product without reading comments because it just looked like exactly what I wanted... then I got it, and saw a huge flaw. The black clip pops off soooo easy!!!! BUUUTTTTT, let me tell those who have bought this already that it is okay. You can rig it like I have to make this a perfectly good device. Besides, the other alternatives are bulky and ugly in my opinion, right? Okay. So the idea is to attach your original camera's wrist strap along side of this floatable strap. Once both are attached (you might already see where I am going with this), you send the original strap thru the yellow float strap (thru the large hole for your wrist) and then send your entire camera thru your original strap on the other side. This is what I call lassoing your original strap to your float strap as a backup cord. This way you get a secure connection to your camera and a nice slick looking float.I also added pics of this to the product on amazon for you to check out... Read more, August 25, 2010

    Great camera for the price.

We bought this camera for a 10 year old for Christmas this year. Due to the mixed reviews on it, we decided to test the camera as soon as it came in. That way, if it was crap...we had time to return it & buy something else before Christmas gets here. I'm sorry, but we are not having any of the issues that everyone else is having. You CAN upload pictures from the camera. I think people freak out when they open the battery hatch, and the batteries fall out. It's OKAY! Just plug the USB cable to the computer and camera. The cable supplies the camera with power from the computer and it WILL turn on to transfer pictures. You have to press the power button on top of the camera to turn it on after plugging it in. It will not turn itself on. (We're using a HP desktop computer with Windows 7.) It would have been nice if the USB port on the camera was in a different location than the battery hatch. The Time/Date stamp will reset every time you open the battery hatch. I don't use that... 5/5 Trinity1979 - See all my reviews This review is from: Polaroid IF045-BLUE-KM 14MP Dual Screen Waterproof Digital Camera with 2.7-Inch LCD (Blue) (Electronics) We bought this camera for a 10 year old for Christmas this year. Dirty Dash Survivor!

Based on the cost and reviews of this camera, I didn't expect too much. I bought it with the hope that if I got at least a couple decent shots of my family and I running the Dirty Dash 10K I would be happy. This little camera exceeded my expectations in almost every way. I'll get the few downsides out of the way. First, there is no way to focus on a specific feature in your shot. It's just point and hope for the best. IT IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT TO USE THE LITTLE LEVER ON THE SIDE OF THE CAMERA - THIS ADJUSTS THE FOCUS RANGE FROM NEAR TO FAR. NOT USING THIS LEVER WILL GIVE YOU CONSISTENTLY BLURRY PHOTOS! I was successful in setting it at long distance and leaving it. I haven't used it for any close-up portrats yet. Second, the battery life isn't good. We cranked up the settings to get a full res, biggest size shots, didn't use the flash (it was a beautiful sunny day), and only got about 60 photos. Switch to lithium batteries, rechargeables, or carry extras,... 4/5 Craig Johnson "mrcraigarcher" (Utah) - See all my reviews, June 10, 2013

For the price, I have to give it 5 stars

Ok, I admit that if I don't have a photograph of it, it didn't happen. So in my photographic addiction I am not able to go snorkeling without documenting every sea cucumber and parrotfish. But, since I know that underwater photos do not come out that well, I was not willing to drop a bunch of money on an underwater camera. I LOVE this camera for what I wanted. It has a large lens to let in lots of light - and it takes reasonable photos underwater. It does not compare to a $500 camera, but it is great for what it is. I can take a million shots as I snorkel, and then touch-them-up on my computer afterwards. Just what I wanted.I find that now that I own it I use it for all sorts of things - it's really fun at water fitness classes (hehehehehe - then I put them on facebook!), works great for white-water rafting (no worries about getting it wet), canoeing, boating, water-skiing, kayaking, camping, hiking in the rain -- basically anything I do where my expensive camera might get wet... 5/5 schooling mom (Denver, CO) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Does the Job WELL!!!!!

I ordered this on Wednesday and it arrived the next day. Both sides are clear. I tested it overnight using a paper towel in a bowl of water with a heavy coffee mug weighing it down. The next morning, the paper towel was dry. I loaded up my cell phone, credit cards, and cash into the pouch and spent the day at a water park. I must admit that I checked it every 15 minutes. At one point, I opened the pouch and the plastic separated from the top opening, but I was able to reattach it and the case still worked. I noticed that a few drops of condensation had entered the case during the middle of the day, which was probably due to some droplets entering the top of the case when opening and closing it. However, after I dried the inside with a napkin, I didn't have that problem again. If you want to use the phone while in the case (in particular the touch screen), it will not work underwater. But, the phone worked above water while in the case. This is the best investment... 5/5 MelMelBee (Phila, Pa United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?)
