Other features include chasmata (canyons), fault scarps (cliffs), dorsa (ridges) and graben (troughs or trenches). Impact craters are the most common feature on Ariel, particularly in the south pole, which is the moon's oldest and most geographically
Over the past couple of months, scientists have learned that RNA-binding proteins such as FUS and hnRNPA1 undergo phase transitions, separating themselves and their associated nucleic acids and protein partners into liquid-phase-like organelles that
While seen by a host of art world luminaries, it had little impact, as proved by how many of the impressive artists here are still unknown in this country. 2 Lincoln Square, Columbus Avenue at 66th Street, 212-595-9533, . as a reflection of the
In this context, the mitochondrial matrix peptidyl-prolyl cis, trans isomerase, Cyclophilin D (CypD) has long been recognized as a constituent of the PTP, but the involvement of other organelle proteins in pore formation has been debated, and the impact

The impact that formed the crater millions of years ago unearthed material that blanketed the area outside the crater, and may have triggered the upwelling of salty liquid. Another intriguing image reveals how Ceres would appear to the human eye in natural ...
"This image captures the wonder of soaring above this fascinating ... One theory to explain the presence of salt in the crater is one that includes an impact that caused a briny liquid leak from underground. The salty liquid water immediately froze ...

Established in 2005 following work from a research institution, this “super fine inkjet” technology has particular importance for the printing of electronics. SIJ prints with much smaller droplet sizes using metals and conductive inks yet operates under normal temperatures and atmospheric conditions, rather than requiring a vacuum or high temperature build chamber. According to the company, their method is unlike any of the current drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printing processes of Thermal DOD or Piezoelectric DOD. SIJ Technology allows for the printing of droplets that are sub-femtoliter in size, 1/10 smaller in size than a conventional printer and 1/1000 smaller in volume. Despite the machine using only a single nozzle to eject the particles, the use of nanoparticles appears similar to XJET’s nanoparticle jetting which has thousands of printing nozzles.

Pluto's subsurface ocean could possibly support primitive life
Scientists have been pondering questions about Pluto's iconic frozen 'heart' feature: Was it formed by an ancient impact; was it closer to the dwarf planet's north pole, and does it have a subsurface ocean? If a subsurface ocean exists ... If enough ...
